The exhibition continues to grow steadily every year.
Mr Viktor Yushchenko, President of Ukraine, sent personal greetings to the guests, participants and organisers of the exhibition, reflecting the importance of the event and future government plans for realising state industry programmes dedicated to the development of Ukraine’s Telecoms and IT market.
Modern systems, equipment, telecommunication and computer technologies presented at the exhibition impressed even the most demanding visitors and specialists.
In 2007 ICT and IT-Expo exhibitions are expected to grow substantially thanks to the planned participation of the National stands from Poland, Taiwan and India.
Also a new industry programme dedicated to the development of Ukraine’s Telecoms and IT market will attract a bigger number of investors in 2006 due to the budgeted state spending on new IT and Telecoms technologies. This should have a positive influence on the number of International participants at the exhibition.
Ukraine is a developing market with a population of more than 48 Million and the second largest economy in the CIS countries.
Kyiv is the capital of Ukraine and has around 3 million inhabitants. Founded in the 5th century by Vikings, the town became the capital of ‘Kievan Rus' in 988 and the spiritual centre of the orthodox religion as well as a key trading centre between the Baltic and Black Sea regions.
Today Kiev remains an important regional trading and financial centre and a vibrant and varied metropolis: Golden domes and ancient buildings sit alongside modern residential and office high-rise blocks whilst fashion boutiques jostle for space with old-style corner shops.
