AT4 wireless announced the availability of LTE testing services
As a proof of its commitment to be at the forefront of the wireless technologies, AT4 wireless is now offering LTE testing services at its three locations (Spain, USA and Taiwan). Services will be provided according to industry’s demand to cover all product stages, ranging from early development to conformance testing.
These services will be based on the extensive capabilities of the LTE Test Systems family developed also by AT4 wireless and based in the powerful E2010 Broadband Wireless Test Set. The E4110 LTE Protocol Tester and E4010 LTE RF Tester will be showcased at Barcelona MWC 2010.
“LTE testing will be enhancing our laboratory services in order to meet the increasing worldwide demand for this new technology”, said Andres Moreno, AT4 wireless Marketing & Sales Director.
“Customers integrating any wireless technology, such as 2G, 3G, LTE, ,WiMAX™, Bluetooth®, WLAN or NFC can benefit from a single laboratory having a solution in North America, Asia and Europe. Our test systems portfolio, our experienced testing laboratory and our worldwide presence, creates a unique ecosystem to successfully support LTE manufacturers and Network Operators”. • Feb 2010 • ATC wireless in MWC 2010 in Hall 2 (Stand E12)
AT4 wireless, the first Designated Certification Laboratory by the WiMAX Forum®, is pleased to announce that it has been appointed by the WiMAX Forum as its Technology Competence Centre for Testing and Certification.
Once achieved the initial objectives of being the Lead Laboratory along the latest four years, AT4 wireless starts its new role as the Technology Competence Centre for the WiMAX Forum. AT4 wireless services to be delivered under this new role are:
“This is another important milestone reached by our company, making AT4 wireless to become the worldwide reference WiMAX Laboratory. It represents a new step of the kind of excellence on testing and certification of wireless technologies that we have achieved along years of work and experience. We are also proud to have the WiMAX Forum confidence after all these years of intense work and cooperation”, said Fernando Hardasmal, General Deputy Manager at AT4 wireless.
”The WiMAX Forum has made great strides in efficiencies in the certification validation and testing processes and AT4 wireless has played a large role in that effort,” said Ed Agis, co-chair of the Certification Working Group for the WiMAX Forum. •

At Mobile World Congress 2010 (Barcelona, Spain) AT4 wireless, a leading manufacturer of world-class test & measurement equipment presents a new tool for RF design verification of LTE user equipment: the S3110B LTE Mobile Test Application.
Based on the AT4 wireless E2010 Broadband Wireless Test Set, the S3110B Mobile Test Application is able to perform RF transmitter and receiver measurements with complete call control functionality as well as end-to-end IP data connections to an external server.
The user-friendly touch-screen based interface enables quickly configure test scenarios providing access to the most important cell and connection parameters.
Once the connection with the device under test is established, users have access to a complete suite of RF transmitter measurements, including channel power, modulation quality, spectral flatness, EVM vs carrier, EVM vs symbol and PAPR.
For RF receiver verification tests, the S3110B LTE Mobile Test Application provides a BLER measurement suite, enabling users to characterize the receiver implementation of their designs not only in laboratory conditions, but also in real life conditions thanks to the integrated AWGN generator and multipath fading emulator.
Furthermore, the S3110B LTE Mobile Test Application provides basic application testing, thanks to its embedded network emulation, by allowing the connection of external application servers to the injection of real data traffic.
“The easy-to-configure LTE connection scenarios together with the powerful RF measurements capabilities and the embedded channel emulator make the S3110B Mobile Test Application a unique and essential tool for validation of LTE designs”, said Alejandro Torrecilla, Business Development Manager at AT4 wireless.
“The S3110B perfectly complements the existing AT4 wireless LTE RF, protocol and RRM test solutions, all based on the E2010 Broadband Wireless Test Set. Now, LTE developers will take advantage of consistent results along the complete product cycle, from early development until final integration and certification.” • 16-2-10
The Enhanced Power Control feature has been defined to address the needs being expressed by the Bluetooth Industry for the inclusion of power control mechanisms for Bluetooth EDR devices. This functionality was defined for Basic Rate and has been verified by a specific test case, the TRM/CA/03/C (Power Control).
Now, the new Enhanced Power Control (EPC) functionality has been included in the latest Bluetooth core release 3.0 + High Speed, being verified in the corresponding RF Test Specification by the new TRM/CA/14/C (Enhanced Power Control) test case.
AT4 wireless BITE RF T1111 test platform has been updated to support the new Bluetooth Core release 3.0 + High Speed, including this new TRM/CA/14/C (Enhanced Power Control) test case, which has recently obtained the official validation by the Bluetooth SIG. All these enhancements are commercially available jointly with the Bluetooth low energy RF test cases.
“Being the market leader and having the most deployed Bluetooth RF Testers among the recognized Bluetooth Test Facilities worldwide, AT4 wireless is proud to obtain this recognition and provide its BITE customers with the best tools to qualify Bluetooth devices according to the latest RF Test Specification released”, stated Angel Romero, Product Manager at AT4 wireless. • Jan 2010
