EOLITE Systems announces a new breakthrough in fiber Laser community with BOREAS G30 (515nm, 30W average power). BOREAS G30 is the fiber laser industrial alternative to DPSS Lasers. BOREAS G30 is based on a new generation of "rod-type fibers", designed to provide high energy pulses together with a good beam quality. "Rod-type fiber" technology makes thermal management much easier and leads to constant high beam quality. It offers all the advantages of fiber Lasers: compactness, low cost, ease of integration and robustness.
 BOREAS 30G combines all dreamed performances of a fiber laser at 515nm:

Dependable Analysis and Measurement of Thin Film Solar Cells
The sophisticated measurement technology of Helmut Fischer in Sindelfingen, Germany contributes to improving efficiencies in alternative energy generation. This relates in particular to electrical power generation using thin film solar cells. They have several advantages over monocristalline silicon solar cells. CIS cells can be manufactured with little material expenditure and, therefore, can be produced cost-effectively. However, with the thin-film technology, it is important to apply the substrates consisting of copper, indium, gallium and selenium (CIS) with a very uniform distribution and coating thickness onto the carrier material. The better this is achieved, the higher will be the realizable efficiencies. Improvements can also be expected by slightly varying the proportions of individual elements. To determine the quality of the production, manufacturers need to measure and analyze the applied coatings in an appropiately accurate and dependable manner. The X-ray fluorescence spectrometer FISCHESCOPE® X-RAY XDV®-SD is now available for this purpose.
Through numerous equipment features and attributes, this X-Ray fluorescence spectrometer is specifically designed for high-precision analyses of electronic components. The semiconductor detector has a high energy resolution of 200 eV. Because of this, it can present apart from one another spectra of elements that are adjacent to one another in the periodic table. This results in a very reliable spectra evaluation and a high detection confidence. Large collimators with diameters of up to 3 mm are used. This provides a high beam intensity and high countrates. For a correct evaluation, the instruments are equipped with a digital pulse processor, which is particularly well suited for high X-ray fluorescence intensities. This combination provides for high repeatibility precision even with thin films. On test series with different X-ray fluorescence instruments, the standard measurement uncertainties were less than 0.1 percent for the coating thickness and the analysis of polycrystalline thin semiconductor films.
