4JET – Laser – Systeme – Services

EDS 70XX Laser Edge Deletion System
4JET is introducing its new generation of inline-laser systems for thinfilm edge deletion. The machines are suitable to process a-Si, CIS, CIGS and Cd:Te solar panels. The highly flexible machines allow the processing of substrate edges for removal of TCO materials, semiconductors and metal backcontacts. The touchless laser process lifts off the coating without damaging the glass material. The residues created are evacuated by the integrated filter system.
4JET has already secured orders for several of these machines, that also allow to perform code marking and perforation for BIPV “see through” cells over the entire surface area of the solar panel. 4JET offers additional processing modules for mechanical molybdenum exposure for CIGS/CIS bus bar preparation, edge brushing and material handling.

The glass used by alfasolar is called “extra-white”, as it has an especially low iron content in comparison with conventional silicate glasses, which allows it to transmit excellently the band of the spectrum that is so important to solar cells, i.e. the wave-lengths starting with visible light, just below the ultraviolet band.  The biased single-pane safety glass keeps the high degree of transmission constant far beyond the band limit of silicon. Cyberstar

Si PV furnaces
Cyberstar is now offering a full range of crystallization furnaces for making Si PV grade polycrystalline blocks.
Three furnaces of various capability are available :
- 60 kg capability for R&D;
- 250 kg capability for production.
- 480 kg capability for mass production.
A 1000 kg furnace is in the course of development.

Cyberstar manufactures and markets equipments or building elements for : raw materials synthesis, crystal growth (Czochralski, EFG, Kyropoulos, Bridgman, Micro-Pulling Down and melting zone), crystal annealing and substrate epitaxy. INNOSLAB lasers with tailored beam profile
The new BX-series INNOSLAB lasers are highly flexible in beam profile, from circular beam profile, through line shaped one dimensional Top-Hat, to two dimensional Top-Hat with square cross section, together with the outstanding features of the INNOSLAB design: beam quality M2 < 2, pulse repetition rate (up to 100 kHz), pulse length 8ns. The new INNOSLAB lasers with square top-hat beam profile are ideal choice for scribing and structuring in production of photovoltaic.
The new BX-series INNOSLAB lasers with high average power and with circular beam profile are well suited for precision machining micro features in all types of materials. Their short pulse length results in a minimal heat-affected zone. Typical applications are drilling of solar glass for contact wrap thru.
The new BX-series INNOSLAB lasers line shaped Top-hat profile are the ideal sources for large area ablation of thin layers for example in photovoltaic and in car industry and for annealing to generate thin micro crystalline layers in display industry.
The new BX-series INNOSLAB lasers with square Top-Hat beam profile are especially favourable for structuring and ablation of conduction layers or dielectric layers for production of thin film solar cells, crystalline solar cells and flat display panels, etc. Their Top-Hat beam profile and short pulse length guarantee homogeneous ablation without beam overlap, highly efficient use of pulse energy and low thermal damage of substrates. The average power of the model BX-series amounts 40W.

Using the latest addition to our grinding technology range, the new PV series, PV-300 (for multi) - PV-1000 (for mono), monocystalline ingots up to 1.000mm in Length can be processed in half time. The simultaneous operation of four grinding disks reduces cycle time, resulting in a quicker amortization of the investment. We have made a new concept of intelligent grinding stroke that allows taking off only the needed material on the ingot/brick.
The same grinding technology is also used on multicrystalline silicon components, producing goods of the same outstanding quality. The PV series can be incorporated into fully automated processing cells either manually or by using robotic systems.

TWIN®-Spindle
This kind of Spindle is an own patent made technology tool which works with two grinding disks placed on one Spindle. One rough and one fine disk are taking of the material in a simultaneous way. The half with reduces the electrical consumption only using two spindles instead of four. The fine grinding disks reaches a perfect surface quality of Ra 0.03 microns.
